Project Hongirana (A home for opportunity deprived children)

Hongirana is a dream project for opportunity deprived children run by Surabhi Foundation Trust ®. It caters to the needs of orphan, single parented, poor children, street children rag pickers, destitute and other needy children. Hongirana provides free food, accommodation, clothing and education. Apart from providing these facilities a due care is taken to impart personality development and patriotic values in them. Health and hygiene is ensured by frequent visit of doctors and checkups. Hongirana is presently catering to about 200 children in 6 Surabhi homes across Bangalore.

An initiative to spread the message of social change and values among the communities in rural , Slum and Sociallly backword areas. It is to create awareness about the importance of education, child and women rights through stree plays, workshops adolescent girl camps and personality development programs. Through this program the focus is on school children, women, youth and the community. Until today Surabhi Arivu has reached 1 lakh people . This project has been recognized and appreciated by education Dept and other reputed agencies and individual.

Surabhi Creech (Free Learning centre for Construction Workers children)

Creech is a free learning centre for construction workers children run by Surabhi Foundation Trust ® in association with Concorde and JMC Constructions. This project has rescued about more than 500 children from becoming child labour and brought them to main stream of society, thus helping to increase the literacy level of the society

Facilities Provided:
  1. Free Books & Uniforms
  2. Day care center
  3. Free basic Education
  4. Separate Module for Children.
  5. Mid Day meals

Surabhi Hasiru (Protection and Preservation of Environment)

Caring for nature and promoting environmental awareness is one of the visions of Surabhi Foundation trust®. It has become part and parcel of the Surabhi program. Initiative is taken to promote environmental issue and also in administration. Surabhi has conducted programs such as planting of tree saplings , conducting old news paper drive and producing newspaper covers and bags and showing documentary movies to school children and participating in campaigns etc to address the environmental issues.

Caring for nature and promoting environmental awareness has become part and parcel of Surabhi’s core vision and mission. This year alone, we have already planted around 2000 plants and aim to plant 6000 tree with the help of dedicated volunteers who are totally committed to the cause. We also help spread the importance of preserving our nature in various fronts.

Grama Surabhi

Under this initiative, we aim to identify villages disregarded of basic facilities and help build a self sustainable model by engaging the residents of the village.

  • Access to clean drinking water – Water Tanks – Lake maintenance.
  • Individual Toilets and cleanliness awareness
  • Skill development. (effective farming methodologies among other subjects)
  • Playgrounds and cultural gathering centres.
  • Education Awareness for enrollment of kids to local schools.

Surabhi Saniha (Developmental activities in government schools)

Surabhi Saniha is a project of Surabhi Foundation Trust® to fulfill the needs of government schools by providing infrastructural facilities, repairs and renovation works, personality development workshops and awareness programs, celebration of festivals, conducting sports day in the government schools nearby our Hongirana project centers. As part of it Surabhi has taken initiative in conducting various programs for becoming a good friend of government schools.

Facilities Provided :
  • Provide school bags, notebooks and stationeries.
  • Address the basic needs of the school.
  • Repair and maintenance of Toilets.
  • Paint the school building with the help of corporate volunteers.
  • Conduct sports and other competitions through Makkala Habba Fest.
  • Conduct English spell Bee contest.

Vidya Surabhi (Educational Support to needy children)

Among all the daanas, Vidya daaana is the most important in modern days. Hence Surabhi Foundation Trust® has started Vidya Surabhi with the aim of supporting the educational needs of needy children. The project reaches it aims by providing school bags, paying school fees, stationary items, computers to needy children and schools.
