What Is Entertaiment?

Entertaiment is any activity that provides a distraction or amusement. People can create their own entertainment, such as spontaneously playing a game; participate actively in an entertaining activity, such as sports or a video game; or consume entertainment products passively, such as watching a movie, dance performance, or comedy show. Entertainment can also be used for a purpose, such as a ceremony or a religious festival. Entertainment is often associated with fun and amusement, but it may have a more serious intention, such as satire or propaganda.
