Merriam-Webster Explains Entertaiment
Entertaining enables the brain to realease seratonin and dopamine causing an immediate good feeling. This may be due to the fact that entertainment often hits on points in the social world that the brain was evolutionarily shaped to react deeply to such as backstabbing and murders. Entertaiment can be consumed by an individual alone from a large array of pre-recorded products or by an entire audience for a performance of any scale, ranging from a dinner adapted for two to a global spectacle.
